How to become a Jute Entrepreneur

You can also become a Jute Entrepreneur

There is a proverb saying,
The entrepreneur always searches for change, responds to it, and exploits it as an opportunity.
For becoming a Jute Entrepreneur, many ask me about the ‘Investment’ for starting a Jute unit. There are a collection of Jute products, like Jute hairclips, Jute Key Chains, Jute Dolls, Jute Handicrafts mats, Jute Gift envelopes, Jute Mobile covers, Jute Greeting Cards, Jute Chains, Jute photoframes, Jute Wall decoratives, Jute Jewelry, Mini Jute Choclate Gift bags, Jute Ladies string Belts, Jute Lamp shades, Jewellry Box, pen Stands, etc., all these can be made without any Big machines. Entrepreneurs, who have a bit of Creative Skill and some amount of Handcraft making knowledge, can do wonders,  in this sector. There are innumerable number of products, being used in our life, which can be made / created by our own Hands, by our own “Skill”, according to the ‘requirement’ & ‘Design’ of the Market.
For making crafts, here is a link on “How to make Crafts at Home”
Most of the Jute products (stated above), can be made with Jute fabric / yarn/Fibre and paper boards, and by using Scissor, Paste/Gum, some additional fancy accessories (or any locally available 'Speciality product'), etc., to decorate the products. Hence you don’t need any other big machineries / sewing machine, for starting a small unit. Now you can understand, what will be your investment level.
Depending upon your creativity, you can create any number of products and introduce your own Crafts in the market.

You can also make your product to "Speak" or "Communicate", on its own, in a Fair / Expo. Is this possible ?.
Yes, It is possible. Every man has got his own name & style & presentation, to differentiate himself from others, similarly every product should be name & coded, according to its style & pattern. If these points are made to be displayed in the form of a Tag, anyone, who reads those tags can understand the details about the product, and there is NO need for a person to explain the product.

New entrepreneurs, generally wish to know the strength of being 'Individual' or to work as "SHG"
In both cases, there are both ' + ' and ' - ', why because, in the case of introducing a new product, it is possible to discuss about the marketability & feasibility of a product, at product sampling stage itself, among the SHG members, by sharing their views, where as in the case of an Individual entrepreneur, it is not possible.
Secondly, while taking decision, regarding the product, the individual entrepreneur stands to gain, since he/she can take the deceision, on his/her own, within 'NO' time, whereas it is not possible, in the case of SHGs.
Even Sample Launching of a product, among the SHG members, is possible to ascertain the price acceptance and product weakness, well before launching the product, in the market.

We have a few proverb saying :
A little stream will drive a little light mill
A little wood may heat a little woven
For setting up a Bag making unit, sewing machines, similar to ‘31-K’ model, may be used, which may cost around Rs.10,000/- to 13,000/-(Indian INR), with / without motor, depending upon the models. Enen with 4 to 6 machines, one can start a small units, initially. The total investment, including the machines, may come around Rs.1 lakhs to Rs.2 lakhs (Indian INR), depending upon the capacity.

Here we have some entrepreneurial Proverbs, just to inspire the New Jute Entrepreneurs (For those dealing with Eco-friendly products, can be termed as “ECOPRENEUR”  also) :
There's no substitute for hard work.
  • Make hay while the sun shines
  • A mill cannot grind with the water that is past
  • Never put off till tomorrow what may be done today
  • One of these days is none of these days
  • Opportunity seldom knocks twice
  • Procrastination is the thief of time
  • Strike while the iron is hot
  • Take time by the forelock
  • There is no time like the present
  • Tomorrow never comes
  • What may be done at any time is done at no time
