Author of this BLOG is a post graduate in
Management with Marketing experience from a reputed South India based Textile
Mill, and served in "National Jute Board" under the
Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, as Joint Director & “Head-Marketing”, for promotion of Jute and Jute Life Style products.
Initially,
Author joined the National Jute Board (Erstwhile Jute Manufactures Development
Council) in 1989. The Author took charge of South zone in 1991, and nurtured
for the Development of Jute and Jute Diversified products starting from 1991.
There was No Jute Exports of Jute Floor Coverings from Kerala region in 1991. Jute Floor Coverings made a significant increase from Kerala Region, because of the promotional efforts of the Author. From the Export Data from DGCI&S, Kolkata, India, Out of Total JDPs Rs.1743.95 Crores, during 2021-22, the Export of Jute Floor Covering from India during 2021-22, has gone to quantum jump of Rs.910.50 Crores, mostly from Kerala region. Kerala is expected to be the largest Jute Floor Coverings Exporter in the World.
The Author was given charge for the overall development of Jute products, all over India.
